Delgatie Castle, Turriff.

My favourite castle. Best home bakes in the world. Mike is Chair of the Banff and Buchan Tourism Forum and the meetings are held at the castle. I decided to leave the room cleaning, ironing etc. and escape... It always amazes me how the scenery changes in such a short time. Pine woods, then ploughed fields, sheep and lambs on grass, rolling hills and the mountains in the distance with snow on them. Lots of buzzard sightings and brightly coloured pheasants ready for courtship.
We went in to Turriff for lunch. Turriff is a bustling market town and has its own department store! Celebrations. The restaurant is excellent. A browse round the store - I am considering spending the non existent profits on leather furniture - then back home.
Today we are away in the same direction. As secretary of another tourism group it is our AGM. The Best of Banffshire and Buchan Bed and Breakfasts. Well, we think we are, anyway.
